Sex Change Lessons For Japanese Schoolchildren!

Here at Escort Wales, we have always been a big supporter of of the right of individuals to have gender reassignment (a sex change) Some people have been unlucky enough to be born in the wrong body, but are conversely lucky enough to live in a time where that mistake of nature can be righted.

It has to be said; not every country is as forward in their thinking as we are. If transsexuals go to the southern American states they may well be seen as perverts. If they go to Iran, they may well end up on the end of a noose.

A Great Idea

This is why I was really happy to see this story coming from Japan, where students at Fuji Hokuryo High School in Yamanashi Prefectur, were asked to challenge their ideas of traditional masculinity and femininity, by going into school dressed as members of the opposite sex.

Before anyone gets a bit stressed, this wasn’t forced upon the students, and was purely voluntary in nature.

Students went to school in their normal uniform. At that point, boys were given skirts and ribbons to wear, while girls dressed in suits and ties. The students then took lessons on how sex changes affects the individual and those around them.

Many Japanese schools insist on very gender-specific uniforms with girls often being made to wear outfits that make them look like sailors. This is what makes this story so wonderful, and surprising.

Around 300 students took up the chance to take part in this extremely important lesson.

Still a Way to Go

Now let’s not pretend that the quest for true acceptance of transsexuals is over. There are still people, and nations out there who think that folks who have a sex change are mentally ill.

Most of us know about the story of Kellie Maloney. Kellie, who was originally known as Frank, and was one of the most well know boxing promoters the country has ever seen. However, she has decided that she wants to become a woman.

Now let’s get this straight; the boxing community in general has been very supportive of Kellie during this difficult time. She has received messages of support from the likes of Lennox Lewis and David Price as well as many other people. However, if you go onto the boxing forums, you will find people who think this really isn’t natural at all.

One poster on a very popular site asked the question; ‘if you saw a man eating grass saying he was a cow, would you agree with him or tell him to go and get psychological help?’

Now I can see the point that is being made, but it totally ignores the fact that chemicals in our body make us who we are. We have more in common with members of the opposite sex than those of the bovine variety, so we only need a little jump to take us to the other side. This is how nature can make mistakes with gender.

The Children are the Future

This is why it is so important for children to learn about transsexuals and that it is perfectly normal. There is a big difference between that and trying to fill kids heads with ideas that they may be in the wrong body. No-one is talking about confusing children everywhere in some sort of PC shock tactic; this is all about teaching acceptance from an early age.

The Battle Continues

Escort Wales will always fight for the rights of transsexuals everywhere to be who they want to be. In the end, we are all human and we only get one go round in this life (apologies to all Buddhists out there) so we should make the most of it.

What do you think? Is the idea of a sex change normal? Let us know in the comments section below or over at the Escort Wales forum.
