Casual Sex Can Actually Be Good For You

We’ve all heard what people say about hook-ups: they aren’t healthy, they make you miserable, they are dangerous for you. Well, a recent study has found that casual sex could actually be good for your health!

Conducting the study

The study looked at 371 single undergraduates at a University. They numbers were split in two, between restricted (conservative) and unrestricted (liberal) in terms of their sociosexual orientation.

Over one period of 12 weeks and another period of 9 months, they got the students to keep weekly diaries of their encounters and their health (self-esteem, satisfaction from life, depression and anxiety).

The results!

The students categorised as unrestricted reported that they had lower stress levels and a greater well-being after having casual sex, when compared to not having sex at all. The restricted students also showed a boost in their well-being after a casual encounter, suggesting that it could actually be good for you.

I know exactly what is good for my well-being… an hour in the company of a Newport escort! What’s good for your well-being?
